Castown

Castown

Castown is a craft soda with a fruity aroma and refreshingly sweet, mild taste. We strive to produce the best tasting beverage with an exotic, unique flavor, created only by our homemade recipe and revolutionary process. Castown is originated from coffee cherry husks, and following our proprietary hulling, drying and brewing process, the result is called “Cascara”. After brewing, the Cascara is carbonated to create a natural bubble which has a soft, distinct sensation that feels and tastes it’s best when served ice cold. The taste is remarkably different from coffee, with no bitterness, but rather a pleasurable, mildly sweet flavor. The inspiration of making Castown comes from “Bomb”, a local coffee barista and “Tam”, a self-taught brewer. Coffee husks are a natural byproduct of the coffee harvesting process. Both Bomb and Tam discovered a unique way to turn the leftover husks into a delicious, sophisticated, original soda. Our coffee cherry husks come from “Doi Sa Ked”, Chiengmai province, located in northern Thailand where it is organically grown and harvested by local coffee farmers. We take great pride of our relationship with the community. Castown not only creates our special, uniquely flavored soda by using locally sourced, highest quality natural ingredients, but our involvement also generates additional, well needed income for the villagers. Castown’s distinct, delicious flavor and eco-friendly process has won it first place in the IP Innovation Competition 2017 Food & Agriculture products of Thailand. “We are proud to successfully create and share our Thai local soda beverage by using only locally, organically produced products. This all is driven by our passion to innovate new ideas that support local coffee plantation farmers under the slogan of “Thai created drink for Thais”. Castown soda is produced in limited amounts each year to ensure only the highest quality ingredients are used to brew the most delicious refreshment. Served in 330 ml bottle and on-tap in coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets and can be directly ordered from Facebook “@Castownthailand”.
