Masala Boy is a small Indian eatery based in Chiang Mai that presents traditional Indian recipes through a contemporary lens. By reimagining the vibrant essence of Indian street food, we craft bold, flavorful dishes designed to resonate with the lifestyle of the modern generation — rich in taste, playful in presentation, and full of life.
The name Masala Boy comes from masala (meaning “spice”), the heart of Indian cuisine, and boy, referring to Tess — our founder, a Thai-Indian chef who grew up immersed in the flavors of his father’s kitchen and the fragrant aroma of spices in every meal.
Our goal is to create a small, welcoming space where Indian food feels approachable, joyful, and modern — much like the colors of spices themselves: vibrant, warm, and filled with friendship and love in every bite.
