Studio 88 Artist Residency
Workshop: Indigo Paper-Puppet Making Once Upon This Land
Workshop: Indigo Paper-Puppet Making
Once Upon This Land
Creative Lead: Koi Sakunee – Children’s book illustrator from SENsitive Space
Duration: 60 minutes
Target Audience: Children aged 5–12 and their parents
Workshop Concept:
Following the bilingual performance Once Upon This Land, this hands-on workshop invites children and their parents to create their own paper puppets—imagined characters brought to life using paper and natural indigo dyes. Guided by a professional illustrator in a warm, welcoming atmosphere, participants will explore storytelling through tactile, creative expression.
This experience aims to nurture imagination, foster cross-cultural understanding, and encourage sustainable, family-friendly creativity. It is more than a post-performance activity—it is a gentle extension of the theatrical journey into shared learning, art making, and joyful connection.
