“Ta-Laew”: Lanna's Woven Talisman of Faith
Ta-Laew (ต๋าแหลว) is an ancient Lanna (Northern Thai) woven craft. It is traditionally made from small strips of bamboo ('Tok') woven into a distinctive hexagonal pattern, which is often compared to the Nan Festival (Nan Fest) logo.
In Lanna belief, the Ta-Laew serves as a powerful amulet or protective talisman believed to ward off evil spirits, bad luck, and dangers, while also bringing good fortune and prosperity.
