Sanpakoi is one of Chiang Mai’s historic neighborhoods, located in Wat Ket Subdistrict on Charoen Muang Road, east of the Ping River. It holds significance in terms of history, culture, and architecture, serving as a connecting route between the Old City and the new commercial area. The neighborhood is also home to one of Chiang Mai’s earliest Christian communities, established during the missionary era. Rooted in its rich heritage and cultural diversity, the concept of “Sanpakoi Christmas Street” was created to celebrate the Christmas season and promote the local community economy through creative activities that blend culture, art, and everyday life in the neighborhood. Event Dates: December 12–14, 2025 Time: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM Venue: Anusarn Building, Sanpakoi / Charoen Muang Road / Sanpakoi Road Event Highlights 1. Tribute Activity honoring Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, presented by 29 community booths from Kawila Subdistrict. 2. Christmas Market featuring creative community entrepreneurs from Sanpakoi - WatKet 3. Performances and activities by Christian communities, church-affiliated schools, and local youth groups. 4. Art Street Alley, showcasing creative works by young artists from Kawila communities. 5. Cultural Exchange Activities with participation from expatriate communities and foreign consulates.
